This course is a comprehensive study of olericulture with an emphasis on sustainable crop management, crop development, nutritional value, and quality characteristics. This course will cover vegetable crop agronomy as practiced in Saskatchewan, Canada, and around the world. The principles of vegetable production will be studied through the lens of various scientific disciplines including: soil science, crop nutrition, plant physiology, crop protection, and agrometerology.
Prerequisite(s): PLSC 220.
